My interest in Fine Arts was evident from the day when I graduated in Fine Arts but at a latter stage I (rather, others) discovered my capabilities in the field of ceramics. Those who matter, appreciated my initial work. Encouraged, I held my first successful exhibition of hand painted pots in May 2010 .'All sold' was the result with further demands pouring in. Then I thought why not to make it my specialized field. I learnt latest techniques to combine calligraphy and clay and I am still in the process of learning/adding more technical inputs. I require independent evaluation on my work. Hence this blog. I have created 50 plus pieces including those already sold. These can be seen at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/umber-khan.html &http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lahore-Pakistan/Umber-Khan-Ceramics/101324166621030?sk=photos . The Greek era would not be complete without the mention of Aristotle and Plato and the Goddess that they looked up to.The clay relief shows a Greek Goddess, relief-ed out on terracotta .The well rounded contours resemble the sensuous nature of the goddess riding a Capricorn. It is sized at 11 x 11 in.Most Greek art lovers would love to hang it in their art galleries.
